Your certification procedures

At the Tourist Office, we are involved in a number of labelling schemes that promote the quality of our welcome, accessibility and the assets of our region. These labels – Qualité Tourisme™, Accueil Vélo, Vignobles & Découvertes and Tourisme & Handicap – are much more than mere recognitions: they serve to enhance the customer experience, raise the profile of the tourism industry and increase the skills of those involved.

These initiatives are open to all professionals: accommodation providers, restaurateurs, cultural sites, activity providers, etc. We encourage you to join these networks to enhance the attractiveness of your offer while contributing to a more coherent and better-identified destination.

We’ll be happy to provide you with information, guidance and support as you take your first steps towards certification.

From the Qualité Tourisme label to the Destination d’Excellence label

Since May 2024, the Destination d’Excellence label has replaced the Qualité Tourisme brand.
The aim is to provide a single tool for enhancing quality across the entire tourism offering: accommodation, catering, visitor and leisure facilities, tourist information points (tourist offices in particular) and transport.
To be awarded the label is to be recognised for your commitment and your high standards in terms of quality and customer satisfaction. In addition to the quality of reception, this label also raises the bar in terms ofeco-responsibility and information for disabled visitors.

What is the Accueil Vélo label?

The Accueil Vélo label is a national mark that recognises service providers offering a warm welcome, appropriate services and facilities dedicated to cycling tourists. This label ensures quality recognition along cycle routes, cycle paths and greenways, to meet the needs of itinerant, sporty or occasional cyclists.
This service provider label, supported by France vélo tourisme, is awarded for a period of three years.

5 good reasons to get the label:
  1. Increase your visibility to a targeted clientele through dedicated promotional channels such as cycle route websites, Belle Via for our region, specific Accueil Vélo guides, specialist cycling TOs and also by affixing the plaque with its little green logo on the front of your establishment.
  2. Join a network recognised by cyclists in France and abroad, and benefit from the quality image associated with the Accueil Vélo label.
  3. Reassure cycling tourists by offering services tailored to their needs (secure shelters, bike washing facilities, adapted catering, etc.).
  4. Help to promote the region by meeting the expectations of cycling tourists and contributing to a high-quality cycling experience.
  5. Benefit from local support provided by organisations such as AGATE and the Chambéry Montagnes Tourist Office, and be supported by Atout France and Ademe.
Who is eligible for the label?

Any structure located less than 5 km from a signposted cycle route and meeting the criteria of the Accueil Vélo quality guidelines can apply. This includes

  • Accommodation providers
  • Tourist offices
  • Bike hire companies
  • Bike repairers
  • Visitor and leisure sites
  • Restaurateurs

Today, Chambéry Montagnes has around twenty professionals with the Accueil Vélo label: see those with the label.

What is the Vignobles & Découvertes label?

The Vignobles & Découvertes label, a national brand, is awarded to destinations offering complementary wine-related activities, enabling visitors to organise an outing or a whole stay around this theme.

The label guarantees high-quality reception facilities and services to help visitors discover the destination’s wine heritage. It also reflects the destination’s desire to promote the region’s wines to a wide audience, from the less initiated to wine lovers.

The label is awarded for three years by Atout France.

Chambéry Montagnes is applying jointly with Cœur de Savoie, a neighbouring community of communes. By bringing the two communities together, Chambéry Montagnes and Cœur de Savoie are able to offer a complementary and diversified range of activities, ideal for organising a complete wine tourism holiday.

5 good reasons to apply for the label :
  1. Increase your visibility to a qualified target group throughout the year.
  2. Be part of an approach that promotes the Savoie wine industry, which has a rich history and offers heroic “slope” wines, the result of a natural and geological heritage characteristic of our Alpine massifs.
  3. To be part of a network of players offering varied and complementary products, thereby encouraging synergies between them.
  4. Be supported by institutional partners who can help you with your projects (CIVS, local authorities, Auvergne Rhône Alpes Tourisme, etc.).
  5. Take part in events such as the Fascinant Weekend, renamed “Vignobles en scène” in 2025 (3rd weekend in October).

The cost of the label for Chambéry Montagnes partners is borne by the tourist office.

Who is eligible for the label?

  • Commercial tourist accommodation
  • Catering (restaurants, brasseries, etc.)
