The great Nordic plateau just a stone's throw from Chambéry and Aix-les-Bains

Between wide open spaces and nature: discover Savoie Grand Revard

This high plateau with its Far North feel is an invitation to travel. With its forests and mountain pastures, it’s a real change of scenery, and is even nicknamed “Little Canada”. Perched between 1,350 and 1,562 metres above sea level, Savoie Grand Revard proudly overlooks Lac du Bourget, the largest natural lake in France.

Easily accessible from Chambéry, Aix-les-Bains, Annecy and even Lyon, Savoie Grand Revard is a four-season destination combining wide open spaces, spruce forests and breathtaking panoramas. Here, the Alps loom large on the horizon, and the views of Mont Blanc, the Belledonne mountain range and the Chartreuse are unforgettable.

The resort is organised around three gateways for easy access to all the activities:

La Féclaz: the liveliest of the resorts, perfect for families and fun-loving visitors.
Le Revard: one of France’s premier ski resorts, with its footbridges over Lac du Bourget and its peaceful atmosphere.
Saint-François-de-Sales: pure authenticity in a natural setting where you can recharge your batteries.

These three villages, linked by roads and footpaths, each offer a unique atmosphere, but all share the same promise: to breathe the fresh air and enjoy an exceptional playground whatever the season.

Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are practised in this mountain resort, which has remained authentic and family-friendly. There’s so much to discover, do and visit here that you’ll never get bored, whether in winter or summer. The surrounding mountains are magnificent in the Bauges massif. The produce is excellent and of the highest quality. The locals we meet are exceptionally kind and are only too happy to help us out. I really appreciate this little corner of France that has managed to retain its identity.

A lovely, friendly, family-run place, with everything we need on site. We hiked up to Mont Revard as a family and it was great! We’ll definitely be going back to discover the Nordic ski slopes.”

Gilles “We’re leaving in two days but I can already give you a more than satisfactory report. The resort where we’re staying is very pleasant. The good thing is that we’re next to 3 great lakes (Annecy, Bourget, Aiguebelette) as well as some very nice towns (Chambéry, Annecy, Aix les bains). Of course there are some great walks to be had (croix du nivolet for example) and of course the good food 😉😊😁”
