Slopes for all riding styles

Savoie Grand Revard is a paradise for mountain bikers, with landscapes that offer as much diversity as they do thrills. On the heights, the plateau offers breathtaking panoramas, while the undergrowth is cool and technical. There are almost 160km of signposted routes for mountain bikers of all abilities. Families and beginners can opt for easy-going routes, with wide forest paths and few gradients, perfect for a gentle ride or an introduction to the VTTAE. More athletic riders will find more demanding routes, combining steep gradients, tight bends and challenging descents. Adrenalin-seekers won’t be left out either, with the Bike Park at La Féclaz offering both fun and technical trails. Whichever option you choose, you’ll be riding here in the heart of unspoilt nature, taking advantage of clear signposting and varied terrain that changes with the seasons.

The Bike Park at La Féclaz Sensations guaranteed

The Bike Park at La Féclaz is a must for downhill enthusiasts and thrill-seekers alike. Situated at the top of the Orionde chairlift, it offers five 200-metre descents, designed to suit all levels of rider and all levels of enjoyment: a green one for learning the basics, two blue ones, a red one for serious riding and a black one reserved for experienced mountain bikers. Each trail combines banked turns, jumps, modules and technical sections in a superb natural environment. Access is easy thanks to the chairlift equipped with mountain bike hooks, and helmets are compulsory – full-face helmets and protectors are highly recommended. An intense experience, to be enjoyed with respect for safety rules and the mountains.

Mountain bike routes From stroll to expertise

Savoie Grand Revard also has a network of mountain bike trails, so you can cycle at your own pace, choosing the distance and difficulty to suit you.

The “Discovery” trails, totalling 45km in length, are perfect for families and beginners. They offer wide, easy trails through meadows and forests, sometimes with spectacular views of Lac du Bourget or the surrounding peaks.

The ‘Confirmed’ circuits cover 115km of more technical routes, with steeper gradients, narrow passages, roots, rocks and fast descents. The colour-coded FFC signposts make it easy to find your way around the course and switch from one route to another. Some of the routes are ideal for mountain bikes, allowing you to extend the distances and climb the steepest climbs. In all cases, the variety of terrain guarantees a fresh experience on every outing.

Schools, accompanying adults and rental

Savoie Grand Revard’s schools and guides are there to help you improve your technique, discover new itineraries or simply be guided in complete peace of mind. The MCF School (Moniteur Cycliste Français) offers individual or group lessons for all levels, from beginner to advanced mountain biker. The local guides know the trails like the back of their hand and can create tailor-made outings to suit your expectations and current fitness level. For those who don’t have their own equipment or would like to try out an electric mountain bike, there are several rental companies in La Féclaz and Le Revard. They offer the latest bikes, adapted to your needs and maintained to guarantee comfort and safety. Some also offer a protection hire service and have washing facilities so you can leave with a clean bike. With these facilities and services, you have everything you need to make the most of your destination by bike, without any constraints.

Respect for nature

Mountain biking at Savoie Grand Revard also means making a commitment to preserving an exceptional environment. The trails sometimes cross sensitive areas such as the Creusates peat bog, classified and protected for its unique biodiversity. So it’s essential to stay on the marked routes, not to cut through meadows or undergrowth, and to respect the signs. The local flora and fauna, which are sometimes fragile, can be disturbed by repeated passage: discreet and respectful behaviour will help preserve this balance. Finally, as with any outdoor activity, it’s important to take your rubbish with you and avoid noise pollution. By adopting these simple gestures, everyone contributes to the sustainability of this playground and to the quality of the experience for all visitors.

Mountain bike & Bike Park map

The Savoie Grand Revard MTB & Bike Park map, available from the Tourist Office reception desk, is an essential tool for exploring the plateau in complete freedom.

It combines in a single medium :

  • The downhill tracks of the Bike Park (DH) from La Féclaz
  • The rolling trails – “VTT Découverte” circuits ideal for family outings, VTTAE and Fatbike.
  • The more technical and sporty FFC-approved “VTT Confirmé” trails.

Each route is clearly identified with its route, difficulty level, altitude difference, distance and points of interest. The map also includes official signposting, safety advice and best practice, as well as information on sensitive areas to be protected.

An essential travel companion if you want to make the most of the plateau’s 160km of trails!
