Looking for wide open spaces and snowy silence? The Savoie Grand Revard Nordic ski area offers 150 km of trails for Nordic skiing, also known as cross-country skiing. In the heart of the Massif des Bauges, discover a unique area where sport, nature and conviviality come together. The adventure starts here!

An exceptional Nordic area

Just 30 minutes from Chambéry, the Savoie Grand Revard plateau invites you to sample the joys of Nordic skiing. With its skating and alternative (or classic) runs, panoramic views and majestic forest, the area is recognised as one of the most beautiful in Europe. Three gateways – La Féclaz, Le Revard and Saint-François-de-Sales – make it easy for you to get here and enjoy a wide range of activities.

Hibou evenings: a little closer to the stars...

Experience the magic of Nordic nocturnes! During the season, the resort welcomes you every Tuesday and Thursday evening, from 5pm to 8.30pm, for a unique experience!

Set off from Le Revard (Crolles) on the Olette piste (green) or from La Féclaz on the Creux Froid (green), Plan Goy (red) and Le Sapey (pink) pistes. The routes are marked with reflective strips with the Owl symbol to guide you safely.

Practical tip: make sure you have a headlamp… and let yourself be enchanted by the magical atmosphere of the snow-covered forests!

Opening the pistes

The pistes will be open every day from the first snowfall in 2025 until mid-April 2026, subject to sufficient snow cover.

Trails strictly closed after 5pm (grooming is done at night: risk of accidents with groomers and damage to trails after grooming).

To make the most of the best conditions, check the opening of the slopes live before you leave.

Cross-country ski passes

You’ll find cash desks at the three gates to the Nordic ski area (La Féclaz, Le Revard – Parking de Crolles, Saint-François-de-Sales).

You can also buy your ski pass and top up your card online.

Pro tip The right equipment for cross-country skiing

The 3-layer rule

To get the most out of Nordic skiing, adopt the 3-layer system. It keeps you warm, dry and protected from the wind and snow, while wicking away perspiration from your exertions.

Layer 1: breathable
In direct contact with the skin, it wicks away moisture. Choose a close-fitting technical undergarment that dries quickly.
Layer 2: insulating
Keeps in heat and regulates temperature. Choose a thin fleece or a breathable brushed T-shirt.
Layer 3: protective
Protects against the wind and bad weather. Choose a light, water-repellent and breathable jacket (not totally waterproof to remain effective).

Complete your outfit with thin gloves, a light hat and goggles for comfort.

And of course, take water. A water-bottle holder or hydration belt will be ideal.
