Zipfy Adventure
Departure from the Nordic plateau. We put on our Michelin-soled Evvo snowshoes, which are easy to put on and grip the snow perfectly. After a leisurely 20-minute walk through a clearing lined with fir trees, the piste comes into view. You sit on the little plastic sled, backrest on your back, handles under your hands. A kick and you’re off on a winding 500-metre run, with a few bumps to give you just the right amount of lift. The finish? Climb back up along a signposted path… and off you go again.
Airboard
Head for the dedicated 1.5km run, starting near the Sire ski lift. You lie on your stomach on an inflatable sledge, helmet firmly attached. The first few metres are gentle, then the slope steepens. The bumps lift you slightly, and you negotiate the bends by shifting your body weight. At the bottom, you put the Airboard down, catch your breath, then walk back up along a sunny path with a view of the snow-covered mountain pastures.
Toboggan runs
For families, there are two secure areas near the ski pass ticket offices. Children go down one after the other, parents time their children and older children improvise races. Plastic sleds, shovels and even the wooden sleds from grandma and grandpa’s slide side by side. The falls always end in laughter.
Here, you don’t need to be a skier to enjoy the snow to the full: all you need is a sledge, a slope and a little desire.
