Féclaz Bike Test

For the third year running, the Féclaz Bike Test is kicking off the cycling season. Bike trials, activities and surprises are the highlights of this weekend dedicated to cycling.
All this takes place in a festive atmosphere, with music, new discoveries and a passion for cycling.

The La Féclaz Bike Park Sensations guaranteed

For fans of downhill cycling and thrills, the La Féclaz Bike Park is a must-visit. Situated at the top of the Orionde chairlift, it offers five trails with a 200-metre descent, designed to cater for a variety of tastes and abilities: a green trail to learn the basics, two blue trails, a red trail for more challenging riding, and a black trail reserved for experienced mountain bikers. Each trail combines banked turns, jumps, features and technical sections, all set in a stunning natural environment. Access is easy thanks to the chairlift, which is equipped with mountain bike hooks, and wearing a helmet is compulsory – a full-face helmet and protective gear are strongly recommended. An exhilarating experience to be enjoyed whilst respecting safety rules and the mountain environment.

Mountain bike routes From a leisurely stroll to expert knowledge

Savoie Grand Revard also boasts a network of mountain bike trails that allow you to ride at your own pace, choosing the distance and difficulty level to suit your preferences.

The “Discovery” trails, with a total length of 45 km, are ideal for families and beginners. They feature wide, relatively easy trails that wind through meadows and woodlands, occasionally offering spectacular views of Lake Bourget or the surrounding peaks.

The “Advanced” trails, meanwhile, cover a total of 115 km of more technical routes: steeper gradients, narrow sections, tree roots, rocks and fast descents are all part of the experience. The FFC signposting system, with its colour-coded markers, makes it easy to find your way and allows you to switch from one route to another. Some routes are ideal for e-MTBs, allowing you to cover longer distances and tackle the steepest climbs. In any case, the variety of terrain guarantees a fresh experience on every ride.

Schools, accompanying adults and hire

Whether you want to improve your technique, discover new routes or simply enjoy a guided ride with complete peace of mind, the schools and guides in Savoie Grand Revard are here to help. The local guides know the trails like the back of their hand and can create bespoke rides tailored to your expectations and current fitness level. For those without their own kit or who’d like to try out an e-MTB, there are several bike hire companies based in La Féclaz and Le Revard. They offer modern bikes, suitable for the terrain and well-maintained to ensure comfort and safety. Some also offer protective gear for hire and have bike-washing stations so you can set off again with a clean bike. With this support and these services, everything is in place for you to enjoy the destination to the full by bike, without any hassle.

Respect for nature

Mountain biking in Savoie Grand Revard also means committing to preserving an exceptional environment. The trails sometimes pass through sensitive areas such as the Creusates peat bog, which is listed and protected for its unique biodiversity. It is therefore essential to stay on the marked trails, not to cut across meadows or through the undergrowth, and to follow the signposts. The local flora and fauna, which can be fragile, may be disturbed by repeated passage: behaving discreetly and respectfully helps to preserve this balance. Finally, as with any outdoor activity, it is important to take your rubbish away with you and to avoid making excessive noise. By adopting these simple practices, everyone contributes to the sustainability of this outdoor space and to the quality of the experience for all visitors.

Mountain Bike & Bike Park Map

Available for purchase at the Tourist Office reception, the Savoie Grand Revard Mountain Bike & Bike Park map is an essential guide for exploring the plateau at your own pace.

It brings together in a single guide:

  • The Bike Park ’s downhill (DH) trails starting from La Féclaz
  • The rolling trails – “Mountain Bike Discovery” circuits, ideal for family rides, e-MTBs and fatbikes
  • FFC-certified “Experienced MTB” circuits, which are more technical and challenging

Each route is clearly marked with its route outline, difficulty colour code, elevation gain, distance and points of interest. The map also includes official signage, safety advice and best practice guidelines, as well as information on sensitive areas to be protected.

An essential travel companion to help you make the most of the plateau’s 160 km of trails!
