Walks & hikes The call of the great outdoors Savoie Grand Revard

Here, there’s no need for a magic wand: nature does all the work! In Savoie Grand Revard, hiking takes on a whole new dimension. Here, the trails lead you into the heart of unspoilt countryside, through deep forests, across sun-drenched mountain pastures and along panoramic ridges overlooking the Alps. Whether you’re a fan of gentle walks or a keen hiker, let yourself be enchanted by the magic of the Savoyard mountains.

A hiker’s paradise just a stone's throw from Chambéry

Just 30 minutes from Chambéry and Aix-les-Bains, Savoie Grand Revard promises a wonderful getaway high above the valleys. It is the perfect vantage point from which to admire Lake Bourget, the Belledonne mountain range and, on a clear day, the majestic Mont Blanc.

This area is much more than just a playground: it is a treasure trove of experiences, set in the heart of the Bauges Regional Nature Park, a UNESCO Geopark, where every step tells a story stretching back thousands of years. Gentle plateaus sit alongside vertiginous cliffs, the forests harbour treasures of biodiversity, and the mountain pastures exude serenity.

Here, the seasons paint ever-changing landscapes: flower-filled meadows in spring, vibrant mountains in summer, flamboyant forests in autumn, and pristine expanses in winter. A natural and surprising destination for all four seasons.

Bear in mind, there are rules to this experience: here, you travel light and keep a low profile. There’s just one mantra: leave no trace (except your memories).
