Toboggan runsDownhill runs that sparkle like winter
For families, there are two safe areas near the ski pass ticket offices. Children go down the slopes one after the other, parents time their runs, and the older ones organise impromptu races. Plastic sledge, snow shovels and even the wooden sledge from Grandad and Grandma’s house glide side by side. Falls always end in bursts of laughter.
S-shaped toboggan run
The run that’ll put a smile on your face (and make you scream a bit)!
Grab your gloves – let’s go for the S-shaped toboggan run!
A run designed for fans of sliding and thrills, with its banked bends and rhythmically varied course.
Here, you hurtle down the slope before taking it easy on the Observatoire magic carpet back up.
The S-shaped toboggan run promises descents that are fast, fun and… utterly addictive!
FatbikeThe bike making its way through the snow
Forget about skis for a moment: here, we’re talking about riding… with handlebars!
On a fatbike, snow is no longer an obstacle – it’s a playground. The wide tyres devour the powder as if it were nothing, and the electric assist makes you feel as though you’ve eaten three tartiflettes without feeling the effects. You pedal, you smile, you stop to admire the snow-dusted fir trees and, let’s face it, to catch your breath a bit.
A Different Kind of SkiingLaughter and speed are on the cards
At Savoie Grand Revard, skiing is a different experience altogether, with dedicated runs and fun, accessible slopes. The air is crisp, the snow is either well-groomed or freshly fallen, and laughter rings out with every run.
We set off from the Tipi Village. We slip on our Evvo snowshoes with Michelin soles – they’re easy to put on and grip the snow perfectly. After a leisurely 20-minute walk through a clearing lined with fir trees, the trail comes into view. You settle into the small plastic sledge, with the backrest against your back and your hands on the handles. One push off with your foot, and you’re off down a winding run of about 500 metres, with a few bumps that give you just the right amount of lift. Reached the bottom? You head back up along a marked path… and start all over again.
You lie face down on an inflatable sledge, with your helmet securely fastened. The first few metres are gentle, then the slope gets steeper. The bumps lift you up slightly, and you negotiate the bends by shifting your weight. At the bottom, you set down your Airboard, catch your breath, then walk back up along a sunny path with views of the snow-covered mountain pastures.
Ski-joëring is a Nordic activity that combines gliding on the snow with bonding with a horse. Suitable for anyone from blue-run level upwards, it takes place on 2 km of groomed slopes, in 45-minute sessions or half-day sessions, with time set aside for preparation and getting to know the horse. A unique and thrilling experience!
Take a seat on an authentic sleigh and let the magic begin… To the rhythm of the hooves and the jingle of the bells, the ride becomes a true journey back in time. Snugly wrapped in a blanket, enjoy the pristine scenery and the charm of a timeless ride.
A pony, a sledge – and you? Give it a good shake and enjoy a ride like no other! The setting: a snow-covered plateau. The power source: a really friendly pony. The driver? A ski instructor who’s in charge of the pony. You? You’ll be laughing, gliding along and having a brilliant time. In short, an activity that’ll gallop its way into your memories!
ParaglidingThe sky as a playground
There are those who look up at the mountain… and those who fly over it. With paragliding, you swap your tracks in the snow for a gentle glide. A few steps down the slope, the colourful wing inflates, and hey presto, you’re carried along by the wind.
Astronomy
And when the sun takes its leave, we look up once more, this time for a rendezvous with the stars. Astronomy evenings at the summit of Le Revard or in the snow-covered clearings are a bit like an open-air cinema… but on an XXL scale and 100 per cent natural. You’ll learn to recognise the constellations and listen to stories that make you want to stay there all night (unless your toes start to protest).
Caving
Beneath the surface of the Bauges Massif lies a fascinating world… Where the rock tells a story spanning millennia, set off to explore caves and caverns by headlamp, guided by passionate professionals. An underground adventure filled with thrills, wonder and curiosity!
