Hiking routes

The Chalets de la Fullie round trip

Looking for a view that’s worth the diversions? Head for the Chalets de la Fullie for a family hike between cool forests and sunny mountain pastures. From the Praz Gelaz car park, the path climbs a little at the start – just to warm up the calves – but nothing insurmountable, even for the youngest. And the reward comes quickly: at the pass, the landscape opens up as if by magic. In front of you, the chalets of La Fullie set against a picture-postcard backdrop… and all the more reason to bring out your picnic! It’s the perfect place for a gourmet break, a game of hide-and-seek in the tall grass or a siesta in the shade. Here, you can take your time, savour and share. A real pleasure hike, simple and generous, just the way we like it.

The Chalet Ducray loop

Need a break from the hustle and bustle… just a stone’s throw from the resort? Head to Chalet Ducray for a gentle getaway, perfect for the whole family. There are no crowds or timers here, just birdsong, the gentle shade of the fir trees and a path winding peacefully through the forest. You breathe, you watch, you listen – and you tell each other stories about elves, why not? It’s a short, leisurely route, ideal for little legs (and grown-ups who want a breather). Along the way, a number of clearings provide well-deserved picnic breaks. And at the end of the path: the charming Chalet Ducray, nestled in its own green setting. A wild, almost secret corner where time seems to slow down. A true natural interlude where you can find yourself… or simply have fun together, away from the hustle and bustle.

The Dent de Rossanaz and Colombier loop

For keen walkers and lovers of breathtaking views: the Dent de Rossanaz – Mont Colombier loop is for you! Here, we’re playing in the big leagues, with a route that’s athletic, that climbs, that sweats… but that delights. Every step brings you closer to the peaks, every bend reveals a little more of the immensity of the Bauges. And at the summit? A 360° view that leaves you speechless (or almost): lakes, valleys, peaks, and Mont-Blanc looming on the horizon if the sky is in a generous mood. This is the kind of hike that leaves a lasting impression, both on the legs and the memories. You’re in for a real alpine adventure, with its share of climbs, breathtaking panoramas… and pride at the finish. Bring good shoes, a little water, a snack, and above all… the desire to take in the sights.

The Bivouac Hike – Cliffs of Margériaz

Fancy experiencing the mountains in adventurer mode? The Rando Bivouac – Falaises du Margériaz is a two-day itinerary between ridges, forests and breathtaking panoramas. On the first day, the trail winds along the side of the cliff, with a few technical sections to spice up the climb. Up there, the view is breathtaking: a bird’s eye view of the Bauges, an unobstructed horizon… and the occasional Mont-Blanc as a surprise guest. As night falls, it’s time for an experience: the Baban hut, now converted into a bivouac, welcomes you for a rustic evening under the stars. The next day, return via a gentler route, perfect for prolonging the pleasure. It’s a challenging hike, but one that’s accessible to regular hikers, combining effort, escape and total disconnection. To be enjoyed with friends, as a couple or on your own… with a headlamp and the soul of an adventurer!

Theme trails and comfort walks

Here, even the walks have something to say!

At Les Aillons-Margériaz, the themed trails make walking as fun as they are informative. You walk, you discover, you are amazed… and the children want more! With mountain stories, forest secrets and well thought-out signs, every step is a little adventure.

And for those who like a gentle stroll, the comfort walks are the cocooning version of the mountains. Easy to access and suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, these paths invite you to take your time. You can take a walk with grandma, grandpa, baby… and even a snack in your bag! Here, there’s no need to climb to take in the sights. Just the desire to share a simple moment together. Because in the mountains, it’s not performance that counts… it’s the pleasure of the walk.
