SERVICE PROVIDERS
Looking for a different way to hike? At Aillons-Margériaz, our mountain guides don’t just guide you: they offer unique experiences in the heart of the Massif des Bauges, a UNESCO World Geopark. Their mission: to share their passion, their in-depth knowledge of the area and help you discover the mountains in complete safety, whatever the season.
Sensory walks in the forest, storytelling at dusk, bivouacs at altitude, nights in a hut or wildlife watching at dawn: there’s something for everyone. Families will love the fun walks around Aillon-le-Jeune. Experienced hikers can explore the ridges of Mont Pelat or learn to read the alpine landscape.
These guided outings are an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the natural, heritage and cultural riches of the Chambéry Montagnes region: mountain pasture flora, pastoral traditions, local know-how… A real nature experience, to be enjoyed at your own pace.
Not at all! There are outings to suit all abilities, from easy family walks to more challenging hikes. The guide will adapt the route to suit the group.
Walking shoes, water, warm clothing and sun protection (glasses, cream, cap). The guide will give you the exact list before the outing.
Yes, many of our outings are designed for the very young, with a leisurely pace and fun content. Some walks are even accessible to 3-4 year-olds!
A mountain leader is qualified to lead hikes in medium-sized mountains. They don’t guide on glaciers or climb mountains, but they do have a thorough knowledge of the fauna, flora, heritage… and the good spots in the area!
