A region where wine is enjoyed all year round
At Chambéry Montagnes and in the Cœur de Savoie, Savoie wine is as much a part of life as it is a part of tasting. All year round, the region offers wine-tourism events to help you discover Savoie wines, their unique grape varieties and the terroirs that shape them.
Vignobles en Scène, the key autumn event
One of the highlights of the autumn is Vignobles en Scène (formerly Fascinant Week-End). Every autumn, for four days, winegrowers, restaurateurs and local players welcome the public to the heart of the vineyards to share their passion through tastings, cellar tours, vineyard walks and gourmet meals. Awarded the Vignobles & Découvertes label, this event combines expertise, conviviality and exceptional landscapes.
The programme for this event includes
- mountain bike rides through the flamboyantly coloured vines,
- visits to wine-making cellars
- local picnics,
- gourmet tastings
- discovery of the Musée de la Vigne et du Vin de Savoie in Montmélian
- discussions with passionate winemakers, restaurateurs and food artisans
A friendly, sensory break to enjoy with friends, as a couple or as a family.
Tastings, workshops and discoveries all year round
Throughout the rest of the year, other events put wine in the spotlight: Apéro’vignes, Chambéry by Wine, open days at wine producers, food and wine matching workshops, and town events. These events offer an authentic, accessible and human experience of wine.
The Musée de la Vigne et du Vin de Savoie, located in Montmélian, completes this itinerary by offering a historical and sensory insight into the region’s wine culture.
Whether you’re just discovering wine for the first time or want to learn more about it, the wine events at Chambéry Montagnes are an opportunity to forge a strong link with the region. Here, wine is much more than just a taste: it embodies an art of living, a history and encounters.
