To be enjoyed without moderation 4 chocolate chips Chambéry Mountains

Food lovers, the curious and those who (rightly) think that chocolate is a divine invention: you’re in for a treat!
Our artisan chocolatiers have an incredible talent… and a healthy dose of creativity! Like real cocoa magicians, they’ve revisited the symbols of our region in chocolate versions. Each bite tells a story, each flavour evokes an iconic place in Chambéry Montagnes. In the end, the hardest part is choosing which one to start with!

The Bauges sea urchin Does it sting? No, it's crispy

No, it doesn’t come from the ocean, but from the mountains!

TheBauges sea urchin, designed by Gaël Jacob and shaped like a fossil, hides under its crunchy shell a heart of old-fashioned almond/hazelnut praline, covered in a raspberry caramel that makes everyone agree.

One bite and you’re transported to the undergrowth of the Bauges massif, where wild nature inspires as much as it amazes.

And if you thought sea urchins were hard to catch, think again: this one disappears in the blink of an eye… especially if you leave it lying around the house.

The Stalagmite of the Geopark A delicacy that goes back thousands of years (or almost)

Did you know that stalagmites in the Bauges take thousands of years to form?

Luckily, the Geopark stalagmites from the Chocolaterie artisanale des Bauges are ready to be enjoyed straight away! Inspired by the rock formations of the Bauges Geopark, this chocolate speciality is an invitation to explore… but without a headlamp or rubber boots.

Beneath its delicately sculpted shell, the Stalagmite hides a crème de cassis interior, reminiscent of the hidden treasures of the caves and grottoes of the Bauges.

It’s a taste adventure you should try with your eyes closed (or wide open, if you want more!).

Green news

For your chocolate shopping, you can buy a 100% recycled tote-bag, hand-sewn in a short circuit, bearing the colours of Chambéry Montagnes. These reusable bags are practical, durable and designed with the circular economy in mind.

The Tomette du Nivolet When Savoyard tradition melts for chocolate

Fans of Savoy cheeses will be familiar with Tome des Bauges, the round, generous cheese that goes so well with our winter meals.

Benoît Arnault has taken up the challenge of giving it a chocolate version by creating La Tomette du Nivolet. A delicacy in the iconic shape of the cheese.

Beneath its smooth, shiny gianduja chocolate shell is a heart of praline chocolate with walnut kernels and slivers of almonds and hazelnuts, recalling the generosity of our mountains and the authenticity of our land.

Less lactose, more cocoa: a Tome that can be enjoyed without bread, but with immense pleasure.

The Opinel in chocolate The fatal weapon of gourmets

The legendary Savoyard knife has been gently reinvented by Cédric Pernot.

This folding knife, the faithful companion of adventurers and country picnics, is now available in a chocolate version.

Made from exceptional chocolate, this Opinel gourmand is as elegant as it is delicious.

The only danger here is that you won’t be able to stop!

You can also find it at La Ruche Boutik’, the temple of good local ideas.

If these chocolate creations have made your mouth water, why not take your gourmet discovery even further? In Chambéry, chocolate lovers can also stop off at Yves Thuriès, master chocolatier and double Meilleur Ouvrier de France. With its melt-in-the-mouth pralines, delicate ganaches and subtly flavoured bars, this address promises an exceptional chocolate journey. It’s the perfect way to continue exploring… with even more gourmet delights!

A bite to eat ... before the others get involved!

Behind these chocolate creations, there’s more than just the pleasure of tasting them. There’s a story behind them, an attachment to the region, a desire to pass on and help people discover Chambéry Montagnes in a different way. These chocolates are a bit like a gourmet passport for travelling through our landscapes without leaving your table.

So, are you ready to take a bite out of Chambéry Montagnes? A word of advice: don’t wait too long, they go faster than a sledge on an icy slope!
