The Archimalt creator of beers and shared moments
For the more urban types, all it takes is a few pedal strokes to get to Archimalt, a craft brewery in Saint-Alban-Leysse that has been awarded the “accueil vélo” label.
A microbrewery, bar and small restaurant all in one, cyclists will find plenty of room for their bikes, as well as two charging points for electric bikes. And that’s not counting the crack team who will give you the warmest of welcomes in a room decorated in a ‘recuperative-inventive’ style!
Warm and relaxed, this ‘brewPub’ serves craft beers brewed in the adjoining microbrewery. It’s just a short step from the bar to the brewery’s vats. It’s a chance to soak up the smells, colours and atmosphere that infuse the whole process of making these home-brewed beers.
At aperitif time, boards of cold meats, cheeses and sauces are available to share, as are home-made pizzas and desserts. Aperitif concerts, jams, bluegrass sessions and improv theatre evenings: there’s always something going on at Archimalt! The aperitif is calling, so get on your bike! (Pedestrians, motorcyclists, car drivers and other scooterists welcome!)
