From prehistory to the present day, explore more than 2,000 objects that tell the story of the history and transformations of this region nestled between lakes and mountains.

An interactive experience.

There is no set route here: wander as you please through the museum's seven themed areas:
• Power and territory
• Population and movement
• Resources and food
• Housing
• Belief
• Clothing
• Medieval paintings from Cruet
From Carolingian dugout canoes to Courchevel cable cars and from flint to Opinel knives, each object helps to tell the story of Savoie's history and cultures, in a refined and modern museum design dating from 2023.

A lively and accessible museum.
The Musée Savoisien is also a living space where heritage, relaxation and live entertainment come together. The museum's rooms and cloister host events throughout the year, including concerts, workshops and temporary exhibitions.
Whether you come with family, friends or on your own, with free admission and facilities suitable for all audiences, the museum is designed so that everyone can visit at their own pace and come back for more!

So, are you ready to step back in time? We look forward to seeing you at the Musée Savoisien!
