There is a beginners’ route in the resort for learning basic climbing techniques.
The Via ferrata is located on the right hand side of the Col du Martinet at around 1000 m altitude. Coming to the resort by car, turn left at the roundabout into the lotissement de la Mense. The car park is at the end of the “route de la Chapelle”, just above the riding centre. Access to the via ferrata is via a well-worn path approx.10 minutes from the car park.
Suitable for children from 6.
Duration: 1hr to 1hr 30 return trip.
3 sections:
1st section : quite difficult – total length: 100 m – 1 x 5m ladder – 1x 8m monkey bridge.
2nd section : easy – total length: 80 m – 1 x 5m aerial walkway.
3° section : difficult – total length: 90 m – 1 x 12m monkey bridge – 1 x 20m zip wire– 1 x 5m monkey bridge.
Sports shops in the resort provide via ferrata kit rental.
