When snow blankets the forests of the plateau, Savoie Grand Revard is transformed into a winter wonderland. As France’s leading cross-country skiing area and regularly ranked amongst the top three in Europe, it boasts 150 km of groomed and marked trails for skating and classic-style skiing. It is a true paradise for cross-country skiers, whether beginners or experts, with varied routes and spectacular views across the entire Alpine range.

  • Trails for all ability levels: from family-friendly green loops to technical routes for experienced athletes.
  • A dedicated biathlon venue: the Alexis Boeuf Stadium, equipped with modern facilities, welcomes athletes and those simply curious to try their hand at this all-round sport that combines endurance and precision. This mountain resort, which has retained its authentic, family-friendly atmosphere, is ideal for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Whether in winter or summer, there’s no chance of getting bored here – there’s so much to discover, do and see. The surrounding mountains in the Bauges massif are magnificent. The local produce is excellent and of the highest quality. The locals you meet are exceptionally kind and are always keen to chat and help out. I really love this little corner of France, which has managed to retain its identity.

The place to be right now, with vast natural spaces where you can enjoy all kinds of winter sports, an exceptional, well-maintained cross-country skiing area winding through the forest, biathlon, snowshoe walks, dog sledding… And right in the middle of it all, a bustling town centre with excellent shops… Well worth exploring in both winter and summer…

We’re leaving in two days, but I can already say it’s been a more than satisfactory experience. The resort we’re staying in is very pleasant. The good thing is that we’re right next to three brilliant lakes (Annecy, Bourget, Aiguebelette) as well as some really lovely towns (Chambéry, Annecy, Aix-les-Bains). Of course, there are lovely walks to go on (Croix du Nivolet, for example) and, naturally, great food 😉😊😁
