Fancy wide open spaces and the silence of the snow? The Savoie Grand Revard Nordic ski area offers 150 km of trails for Nordic skiing, also known as cross-country skiing. In the heart of the Bauges Massif, set off to explore a unique region where sport, nature and a warm, friendly atmosphere come together. The adventure begins here!

An exceptional Nordic ski resort

Just 30 minutes from Chambéry, the Savoie Grand Revard plateau invites you to experience the joys of cross-country skiing. With its groomed trails for skating and classic-style skiing, its panoramic views and its majestic forest, the ski area is recognised as one of the most beautiful in Europe. Three access points – La Féclaz, Le Revard and Saint-François-de-Sales – make it easy to get there and allow you to enjoy a variety of experiences.

Opening the pistes

Open from 22 November 2025 until 6 April 2026, subject to sufficient snow cover.

From 30 March, partial but daily grooming between Féclaz and Revard Crolles, with a flat rate of €8.00 until Monday 6 April inclusive.

Use of the slopes is strictly prohibited after 5.00 pm (slope grooming takes place at night: there is a risk of accidents involving snow groomers and damage to the slopes following grooming).

Owl Evenings: a little closer to the stars…

Experience the magic of Nordic night skiing! From the December school holidays onwards (excluding public holidays), the resort welcomes you every Tuesday and Thursday evening, from 5.00 pm to 8.30 pm, for a unique experience!

Set off from Le Revard (Crolles) on the L’Olette run (green) or from La Féclaz on the Creux Froid (green), Plan Goy (red) and Le Sapey (pink) runs. The routes are marked with retro-reflective strips bearing the owl symbol to guide you safely.

Top tip: make sure you’ve got a head torch… and let yourself be enchanted by the magical atmosphere of the snow-covered forests!

Cross-country skiing passes

You’ll find ticket offices at the three entrances to the Nordic ski area (La Féclaz, Le Revard – Crolles car park, Saint-François-de-Sales).

You can also buy your ski pass and top up your card online.

Pro tip Getting the right kit for cross-country skiing

The 3-layer rule

To get the most out of cross-country skiing, follow the 3-layer system. It keeps you warm, dry and protected from the wind and snow, whilst wicking away sweat caused by physical exertion.

Layer 1: breathable
Worn directly against the skin, this layer wicks away moisture. Choose a close-fitting, technical base layer that dries quickly.
Layer 2: insulating
Thislayerretains heat and regulates your body temperature. Opt for a thin fleece or a breathable brushed T-shirt.
Layer 3: protective
This layer blocks the wind and protects against the elements. Opt for a lightweight, water-repellent and breathable jacket (not completely waterproof, to ensure it remains effective).

Complete your outfit with thin gloves, a lightweight hat and sunglasses for comfort.

And of course, take some water with you. A water bottle belt or a hydration belt is ideal.
