A variety of itineraries in the heart of the Massif des Bauges

Snowshoeing is the flagship winter activity at Chambéry Montagnes, accessible to all and ideal for exploring the Massif des Bauges under its white blanket. Designated a Regional Nature Park and a UNESCO Geopark, this area offers an exceptional variety of snowshoeing itineraries, from family walks to sporting hikes.

On the Aillons-Margériaz side, there are several signposted loops offering a taste of every kind of atmosphere. The hamlets of the Vallée du Lindar and the Chapelle de la Correrie – Lourdens walk are perfect for a gentle introduction. The panoramic views from the Crêtes du Margériaz or the Col de la Fullie will appeal to all those who love vistas. For the more athletic, Mont Pelat via Morbié or the Boucle du Lindar offer a more challenging experience.

Savoie Grand Revard, a life-size playground

Savoie Grand Revard offers just as much diversity, with emblematic routes such as the Croix du Nivolet, the Crêtes de l’Orionde, the Croix des Bergers and the Piste du Trappeur, which leads to a friendly refuge. Hardy hikers can tackle the Grande Traversée between La Féclaz and Saint-François-de-Sales.

All the routes are marked with special winter markers, installed each season to guarantee safety and identification. Before setting off, it is advisable to check the weather conditions and stick to the marked trails. For a safe outing, we recommend that you are accompanied by a mountain guide.

Whether you’re with family or friends, or looking for something more challenging, Chambéry Montagnes snowshoe treks are a unique experience, combining unspoilt nature, exceptional scenery and Savoyard authenticity.
