Tour of the Bauges life-size roaming

A mountain range to discover step by step

How about going car-free this year? The Tour des Bauges is an invitation to take your time, breathe deeply and marvel at every step.

This six-day loop tour passes through a preserved Regional Nature Park, a UNESCO World Geopark, and links typical villages, mountain pastures and deep forests. Every day, a new setting, a new refuge, and the promise of a simple yet powerful adventure. Far from the hustle and bustle, close to what’s essential.

Six days on the road six ways to marvel

The route begins at La Féclaz, on the crest of a ridge with a breathtaking view of Lac du Bourget. Then it’s on into the heart of the massif, with its secret valleys, cosy hamlets, Baujus chalets and geological curiosities: cliffs, caves, gorges and even a Devil’s Bridge.

Each stage is full of surprises and encounters.

Refuges and accommodation Booking is essential

A gentle and responsible experience

Accessible outside the snow season and subject to good weather conditions, the Tour des Bauges is a magnificent introduction to itinerant hiking. Respect for nature and the ecosystems you cross is essential: stay on the paths, respect the protected areas, and leave with your rubbish.

Rando Liberté Bauges Massif

Offered by Terre d’Altitude, this tailor-made holiday invites you to discover the Bauges at your own pace, on your own, but with all the comforts of home.
