At Chambéry Montagnes, the leisure centres are bubbles of happiness, combining swimming, outdoor activities, unspoilt nature and a friendly atmosphere. Whether you prefer to laze on the grass, paddle on a clear stretch of water or go tree climbing with the family, there’s always a leisure centre to suit you. Easy to get to, these spots are summer must-sees for young and old alike. Set in the heart of the Savoyard landscape, between lakes and mountains, these places invite you to slow down, breathe and enjoy. Les Îles du Chéran

Lescheraines

Set between lakes and forest, the Îles du Chéran leisure park offers a wide range of outdoor activities. The site has a beach with supervised swimming, a waterslide, a fun paddling pool, as well as sports and leisure facilities: tennis courts, petanque area, multi-sports pitch, walking trail, inflatable water games, wakeboarding and accro-bungy. Fishing is also permitted. The area is ideal for both day trips and longer stays, with the Camping de l’Île*** and the L’Eau Vive holiday residence on site.

Wam Park

Montailleur

Wam Park is a water sports leisure centre open to everyone aged 5 and over. The site has two water ski lifts (small and large) for water skiing and wakeboarding. There are also inflatable water games, water jumps, an aquatic climbing wall, an adventure park, floating islands and paddle hire. Picnic areas, a food court and a footpath make it easy to enjoy the surroundings on foot or by bike. The whole area is laid out around a calm, supervised lake, ideal for both relaxation and sporting activities.

Rivier’Alp

On the border between Savoie and Isère, Rivier’Alp is a leisure centre dedicated to discovery and the great outdoors. It offers a supervised ecological bathing area in summer, outdoor play areas, a relaxation area, as well as walking and cycling routes. The site showcases the surrounding landscapes and natural environments, including the Cotterg pond, a lookout point overlooking the bathing area, observation platforms on the Guiers river and the Guiers Vif canals. Suitable for all ages, the base is a great place to relax, go for a walk and discover the area.

Carouge leisure centre

Saint-Pierre-d’Albigny

Located at the foot of the Belledonne Massif, the Carouge leisure centre covers almost 10 hectares. It has a supervised swimming area in summer (1pm to 7pm), a beach that has been awarded the Pavillon Bleu label since 2018, children’s play areas and footpaths around the lake. Paddleboats can be hired in season. The lake welcomes both morning sports enthusiasts and afternoon relaxation seekers. Easily accessible from Chambéry by regional train, with more than 30 journeys a day, the base is an ideal starting point for enjoying nature activities and hiking in the surrounding area.
