Hiking routes

The round trip to the Chalets de la Fullie

Fancy a view that’s well worth the detour? Head for the Chalets de la Fullie for a family hike through cool forests and sun-drenched mountain pastures. From the Praz Gelaz car park, the path climbs a little at the start — just to warm up your calves — but it’s nothing insurmountable, even for the youngest walkers. And the reward comes quickly: at the pass, the landscape opens up as if by magic. Before you lie the Chalets de la Fullie, nestled in a picture-postcard setting… and plenty of good reasons to get the picnic out! It’s the perfect spot for a tasty break or a nap in the shade. Here, you take your time, savour the moment and share the experience. A truly enjoyable hike, simple and rewarding – just the way we like them.

The Chalet Ducray Loop

Fancy a break in the countryside, away from the hustle and bustle… just a stone’s throw from the resort? Head to Chalet Ducray for a gentle getaway, perfect for the whole family. Here, there are no crowds or time constraints, just birdsong, the soothing shade of the fir trees and a path that winds peacefully through the forest. Breathe deeply, look around, listen — and why not tell each other stories about elves? The route is short and peaceful, ideal for little legs (and grown-ups who fancy a breather). Along the way, a few clearings offer well-deserved picnic breaks. And at the end of the path: the charming Chalet Ducray, nestled in its lush green setting. A little wild, almost secret spot where time seems to slow down. A real break in the countryside to reconnect… or simply to have fun together, far from the hustle and bustle.

The Dent de Rossanaz and Mont Colombier Loop

Calling all seasoned walkers and lovers of breathtaking views: the Dent de Rossanaz – Mont Colombier loop is made for you! This is a route for the serious walker – a challenging hike that involves plenty of climbing and hard work… but is well worth the effort. Every step brings you closer to the ridges; every bend reveals a little more of the vastness of the Bauges. And at the summit? A 360° view that leaves you speechless (or nearly so): lakes, valleys, peaks, and Mont Blanc silhouetted on the horizon if the sky is in a generous mood. It’s the sort of hike that leaves its mark, on your legs as much as in your memories. Set off on a true alpine adventure, complete with its share of climbs, breathtaking panoramas… and a sense of pride upon arrival. Make sure you pack good walking boots, some water, a snack, and above all… the desire to take in the spectacular views.

The Bivouac Hike – Margériaz Cliffs

Fancy experiencing the mountains in adventure style? The Bivouac Hike – Margériaz Cliffs offers two days of hiking amongst ridges, forests and spectacular panoramic views. On the first day, the trail winds its way along the cliff face, with a few technical sections to spice up the climb. Up there, the view is simply breathtaking: a bird’s-eye view of the Bauges, an unobstructed horizon… and sometimes, Mont Blanc as a surprise guest. As night falls, it’s time for the real experience: the site at Baban, now set up as a bivouac area, welcomes you for a rustic evening under the stars. The next day, head back via a gentler route, perfect for prolonging the pleasure. A challenging hike, yet accessible to experienced walkers, combining physical exertion, escape and total disconnection. Ideal for friends, couples or solo travellers… provided you have a head torch and the spirit of an adventurer!

Themed trails and leisurely walks

Here, even the walks have stories to tell!

In Aillons Margériaz, themed trails make hiking as fun as it is educational. You walk, you discover, you’re amazed… and the children will be begging for more! With mountain tales, forest secrets and well-designed information boards, every step becomes a little adventure.

And for those who like to take it easy, the ‘comfort walks’ offer a cosy mountain experience. Easily accessible and suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, these paths invite you to take your time. You can walk them with grandad, granny, baby… and even take a snack along! Here, there’s no need to climb to be amazed. Just the desire to share a simple moment, together. Because in the mountains, it’s not about the performance… it’s about the pleasure of the walk.

Find your mountain guide

Put your trust in the mountain guides! With them, there’s no need for a map or a compass: they know the trails like the back of their hand… and have plenty of stories to share as well. Passionate, caring and sometimes a bit poetic, they’ll take you on walks where you’ll learn to read the natural world, spot animal tracks, smell the plants… or simply walk with your eyes wide open. Whether you’re a beginner or a keen hiker, they’ll tailor the pace and route to suit you. With them, every outing becomes a unique experience – physical, calming and full of surprises. And let’s face it: it’s much more fun to hike in good company, isn’t it? So let them guide you… and let the magic happen!

Walks with animals

In Aillons Margériaz, hiking with an animal means experiencing the mountains in a different way: gentler, more fun, and more intimate. A donkey, dog or horse becomes your adventure partner, for an experience that’s as fun as it is unforgettable. A lovely way to bond… on four legs.

So, are you ready to set off in good company?
