Companions in adventure for thousands of years

The story of the sled dog begins in the bitter cold of the Far North, a long way from our mountains, but with the same taste for freedom. Used for over 4,000 years by the Inuit, Chukchi and Lapp peoples, these courageous dogs hauled food, wood and travellers across the snow and ice. True pillars of survival in the polar regions, they have also left their mark on the great exploration expeditions, from Alaska to Antarctica. More than just a means of transport, they have become a symbol of solidarity, power and loyalty.

Today, the history of sled dogs continues to vibrate, carried on by passionate mushers who perpetuate a unique bond between man and animal. Each team tells its own story: one of meticulous teamwork, sincere complicity and a tradition handed down with pride. To experience sled dogs is to immerse yourself in a thousand-year-old heritage of snow, happy barking and great shared adventures. It’s an immersion that’s at once sensory, historical and profoundly human.
