Do you enjoy walking in the great outdoors? Follow the idyllic trails of the Cœur des Bauges. These walks are suitable for the whole family, even the very youngest children. And to add a touch of magic, why not go for a hike with a donkey? A special bond is guaranteed.

Our mountain guides will also lead you on exciting themed excursions: discovering plants, animals and landscapes… They’ll reveal the secrets of a region that’s as rich as it is welcoming.

For more adventurous families, multi-day treks are available, with unique overnight stays in yurts or mountain huts. A true immersion in the rhythm of the mountains!

When the sun is at its highest, it’s time to cool off: head to the Les Îles du Chéran leisure centre in Lescheraines. Water slides, a paddling pool, water games, wakeboarding, water activities… and, of course, a swim in clear, refreshing water. There’ll be no shortage of laughter.

Finally, for those with a sweet tooth, treat yourself to some artisan ice cream or some delicious local chocolate. In Bellecombe, the Chocolaterie des Bauges will treat you to some delicious treats, as will Gaël Jacob in Lescheraines with his famous ‘Vesp’à glace’, which travels round the villages all summer long. An icy delight to savour with the family.

Responsible body

The Massif des Bauges Regional Nature Park has been designated a UNESCO Global Geopark. It protects 700 km² of unique landscapes and 54 geosites waiting to be explored. A treasure to be preserved… and shared.

Cave Hiking

Head to the Tanne du Névé cave in Aillons-Margériaz 1400, one of the most impressive in Savoie. Thrills guaranteed!

Dog-walking

In Aillon-le-Jeune, the sled dog farm offers you the chance to go for a walk accompanied by a faithful companion. And for the more adventurous, hop aboard a real sledge, just like in the Far North!

Municipal swimming pool

After all that exertion, it’s time to unwind: off to the local swimming pool for a well-deserved spot of relaxation. Water slides, a picnic, lazing about… and memories galore.

Get some fresh air in Savoie Grand Revard

In Savoie Grand Revard, the air feels fresher and the horizon wider. This high-altitude plateau is an endless playground for families.

Adventure park

La Féclaz Adventure Park, perched at an altitude of 1,500 metres, offers 13 courses and 135 activities. The net park is open to children aged 2 and over, without the need for a harness: slides, zip lines, footbridges, giant trampolines… Laughter echoes through the forest.

Equestrian centre

Fancy getting back to nature? Go for a hike, either on your own or with others, on foot, on horseback or even with a donkey. Or why not try a pony ride? The Volte Face equestrian centre offers lessons and rides all year round.

Cani-rando

Dogs are part of the fun here too! Mikia School invites you to try dog-led hiking or sulky rides – a gentle activity pulled by a dog. The kennels are open to the public from May to October.

MOUNTAIN BIKE

Cycling enthusiasts of all ages are also in for a treat. Savoie Sports Aventure offers a cycling playground for 3–7-year-olds. A little further on, the mountain bike trails take you through breathtaking scenery.

Chairlift

And what about reaching for the skies? Hop on the Orionde chairlift and head to the viewpoint of the same name. A spectacular view of Mont Blanc, Lake Bourget and the entire Bauges massif is guaranteed.

That little extra thrill

At Mont Revard, dare to walk across the suspension bridges high above the abyss. One of them is made entirely of glass… thrills and wonder guaranteed!

Explore Chambéry with your family

Chambéry is not just a city. It’s an open-air adventure, a history to explore, a heritage to experience.

The old town awaits you with its colourful façades, secret passageways (the ‘allées’), fountains… and hidden treasures. Keep your eyes peeled – you’re in one of the most beautiful historic towns in the Alps.

Not to be missed: the Fontaine des Éléphants*, the city’s emblem, recounts in its own way the great adventures of General de Boigne. The Castle of the Dukes of Savoy, meanwhile, opens its doors to you through guided tours.

For the curious, several museums offer child-friendly tours: the Musée Savoisien, the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Les Charmettes (Rousseau’s house)… Learning has never been so much fun.

Fancy a bit of exercise? Head to the water park with its pools, water features and wellness area. And if your teenagers want to let off steam, head to the Wattabloc or Climb’up climbing centres, or the Windalps freefall simulator, suitable for children aged 5 and over!

Just a stone’s throw from the town centre, the Galerie Eurêka features 13 interactive exhibits dedicated to the mountains. A fascinating experience for the whole family.
