Day 1 The narrow streets of Chambéry to the vineyards of Savoy

From the colourful façades of Chambéry to the sun-drenched vineyards, this first day is an invitation to stroll, sample and take in the sights. A gentle journey through heritage, local flavours and the landscapes of Savoie.

Start the day in the historic heart of Chambéry. Between the Fontaine des Éléphants, the ancient streets and the bustling terraces, the city reveals its heritage at every turn.

A gourmet break and a cycle ride

Before continuing your getaway, take the time to discover the flavours of the region at one of the many eateries in the town centre. With its lively terraces, traditional cuisine, Savoyard specialities and local produce, Chambéry offers a wide variety of restaurants to suit every taste.

Between the lake and the vineyards

From Chambéry, cycle to the vineyards of Cœur de Savoie along an accessible route. Alpes in Bike takes care of everything: providing an e-bike, support, a meeting with the winegrower and a shuttle for the return journey.

Nestled between the mountains and the hillsides, stop off at Lake Saint-André – a picture-postcard spot at the foot of the vineyards – before enjoying a wine tasting at Domaine Richel to discover the great Savoyard grape varieties: Jacquère, Mondeuse and Bergeron.
