Must-try routes: from the Belle Via to the Tour des Bauges

Among the must-try routes, the Belle Via winds its way peacefully between lakes, vineyards and mountains, perfect for a family outing or a gentle stage of a longer cycle tour. The Tour des Bauges cycle route (130 km) appeals to long-distance cyclists, with a route taking in the lakes of Bourget and Annecy, alpine panoramas and passages through traditional villages.

Local loops also offer a variety of experiences:

  • Aix-les-Bains: a 40 km return trip, ideal for cycling along the peaceful shores of the lake.
  • Lake Saint-André: a 25 km route through vineyards and orchards, with views of the Chartreuse mountains.
  • The Tremblay loop or Balcons du Bourget: combining nature and scenic viewpoints.
