Snowshoeing is the star winter activity in Chambéry Montagnes, accessible to all and ideal for exploring the Bauges Massif under its blanket of snow. Designated a Regional Nature Park and a UNESCO Geopark, this area offers an exceptional variety of snowshoe routes, ranging from family walks to challenging hikes.
Around Aillons-Margériaz, several signposted circular routes allow you to experience a range of different atmospheres. The hamlets of the Lindar Valley or the walk from the Chapelle de la Correrie to Lourdens are perfect for a gentle introduction. The panoramic views from the Crêtes du Margériaz or the Col de la Fullie will delight those who love scenic vistas. For the more adventurous, Mont Pelat via Morbié or the Lindar Loop offer a more challenging experience.
Savoie Grand Revard, a life-size playground
In Savoie Grand Revard, the variety is just as rich, with iconic routes such as the Croix du Nivolet, the Crêtes de l’Orionde, the Croix des Bergers, or the Piste du Trappeur, which leads to a welcoming mountain refuge. The most resilient hikers will set out on the Grande Traversée between La Féclaz and Saint-François-de-Sales.
All routes are marked with special winter signposting, put in place each season to ensure safety and help you find your way.
