Viewpoints and scenic spots Exceptional venues to delight the eye

Lakes, mountains, forests and monuments come together here to create an unforgettable scene. So here is a selection of remarkable viewpoints and vantage points – the places to go to be truly awestruck.

In Chambéry Montagnes, every viewpoint offers a taste of that ‘Elixir of Savoy’ that awakens the senses. Here, altitude isn’t just a matter of metres; it’s also an emotional experience.

Breathtaking views

Savoie has its own Mont Saint-Michel. This unassuming yet majestic headland, situated in Curienne, offers a unique panoramic view of the Chambéry valley, the vineyards of the Cœur de Savoie and the peaks of the Chartreuse Mountains. A little gem accessible to all.

At the Revard Lookout, prepare to be utterly awestruck. A suspension footbridge carries you out over the void. Beneath your feet: Lake Bourget. Before you, the first peaks of the Jura. Behind you: Mont Blanc. A breathtaking spot, come summer or winter.

Fancy a gentle climb to greater heights? Head for La Croix du Nivolet. Set off from La Féclaz and walk to this large white cross that watches over the valley. Up there, the landscape opens up: the Chartreuse, Belledonne, Bauges… A viewpoint that makes your heart beat faster, even when you’re standing still.

Le Sire, situated in the commune of Les Déserts, is the perfect spot to admire a sunset over the Bauges and Lake Bourget. Its ridges offer unbeatable views of the surrounding landscape.

Finally, let yourself be charmed by the Belvédère de l’Orionde, the iconic peak of La Féclaz. Accessible by chairlift in summer or on a snowshoe hike in winter, its gentle slopes open out onto a luminous panorama, perfect for a contemplative break or a picnic with stunning views.

Ready to be blown away? Put on your boots – an escape awaits!
