From teepees and caves to Segways and alpine huts, these getaways from June to October (and sometimes all year round!) are a wonderful way to sample the ‘Elixir of Savoy’. Fresh, local, eco-friendly… and memorable for children aged 6 and over.

Who hasn’t dreamt of drifting off to sleep in a teepee, lulled by the crackling of a campfire, in a ‘Dances with Wolves’ kind of atmosphere? No need to cross the Atlantic: in Savoie Grand Revard, adventure awaits just around the corner from the mountain pastures.

Here, authenticity meets comfort: slatted bed bases, extreme-cold sleeping bags (-18 °C), a wood-burning stove… Everything is designed to let the magic happen, without you ever having to shiver.

The teepee village is open all year round, even when it’s snowing, and can accommodate up to 34 people. Whether with friends, family or to celebrate an unusual birthday, it promises a night you’ll remember for a long time to come.

Ready for a night out of time? Join the cavers from Karst 3E as we head into the underground world for a unique experience: a bivouac in a cave at the heart of the Bauges massif, a UNESCO Global Geopark.

Setting off from Le Revard, Arith or Saint-François-de-Sales, hop on your mountain bike (or e-bike) and follow the signposted trails. Up there, everything else fades away: make way for the panoramic views, the warm atmosphere of the refuge and the Savoyard dishes that provide comfort after your exertions.

The added bonus? The climb itself: between majestic cliffs and valleys that look as though they’ve stepped straight out of a film set, the Cœur des Bauges reveals a breathtaking landscape. A life-sized immersion in the heart of an unspoilt region.
