Enjoy to your heart’s content 4 chocolate chips Chambéry Montagnes

Calling all foodies, the curious, and those who (quite rightly) believe that chocolate is a divine invention: you’re in for a treat!
Our artisan chocolatiers are incredibly talented… and brimming with creativity! True masters of cocoa, they’ve reimagined the symbols of our region in chocolate form. Every bite tells a story; every flavour evokes an iconic spot in Chambéry Montagnes. The hardest part, really, is deciding which one to try first!

The Bauges Sea Urchin Does it sting? No, it’s crispy

No, it doesn’t come from the ocean, but from the mountains!

The Bauges Sea Urchin, with its characteristic fossil-like shape, designed by Gaël Jacob, hides beneath its crunchy shell a traditional almond and hazelnut praline centre, coated in a raspberry caramel that everyone loves.

One bite and you’ll be transported to the woodlands of the Bauges massif, where the wilderness inspires as much as it amazes.

And if you thought sea urchins were hard to catch, think again: this one disappears in the blink of an eye… especially if you leave it lying about at home.

The Stalagmite of the Geopark A delicacy dating back almost a thousand years (or thereabouts)

Did you know that the stalagmites in Les Baugestake thousands of years to form?

Fortunately, the stalagmites from the Bauges Artisan Chocolate Geopark are ready to be enjoyed straight away! Inspired by the rock formations of the Bauges Geopark, this chocolate speciality is an invitation to explore… but without a head torch or wellies.

Beneath its delicately sculpted shell, the Stalagmite conceals a blackcurrant cream filling, reminiscent of the hidden treasures of the caves and grottoes of Les Bauges.

A taste adventure to be enjoyed with your eyes closed (or wide open, if you fancy another one!).

The Tomette of Nivolet When Savoyard tradition blends with chocolate

Lovers of Savoyard cheeses are no strangers to Tome des Bauges, that round, generous speciality that complements our winter cheese platters so well.

Benoît Arnault rose to the challenge of creating a chocolate version of it by inventing La Tomette du Nivolet. A treat that echoes the cheese’s iconic shape.

Beneath its smooth, glossy shell of gianduja chocolate lies a praline chocolate centre with walnut kernels, almond slivers and hazelnut pieces, evoking the bounty of our mountains and the authenticity of our region.

Less lactose, more cocoa: a Tome to be savoured without bread, but with immense pleasure.

The chocolate Opinel The foodie’s secret weapon

The legendary Savoyard knife is being given a subtle makeover thanks to Cédric Pernot.

This folding knife, a faithful companion to adventurers and country picnics, is now available in a chocolate version.

Crafted from exceptional chocolate, this gourmet Opinel is as elegant as it is delicious.

No risk of cuts here – the only danger is that you won’t be able to stop!

You can also find it at La Ruche Boutik’, the temple of great local ideas.

If these chocolate creations have made your mouth water, why not take your culinary exploration a step further? In Chambéry, chocolate lovers can also pop into Yves Thuriès, a master chocolatier who has twice been awarded the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France. With its melt-in-the-mouth pralines, delicate ganaches and bars with subtle flavours, this shop promises an exceptional chocolate experience. A wonderful way to continue your exploration… with ever more indulgence!
