La Féclaz, the nature centre just a stone's throw from Chambéry

Just 30 minutes from Chambéry and 35 minutes from Aix-les-Bains, La Féclaz immerses you in the unspoilt world of the Bauges Massif. Here, nature reigns supreme: deep forests, sun-drenched plateaus and breathtaking views of the Alps. The resort is part of the Savoie Grand Revard ski area, a leading destination for cross-country skiing with over 150 km of trails. Downhill skiers, cross-country skiers, hikers and lovers of the great outdoors will find their paradise here. It’s no wonder that the Savoie Grand Revard plateau is sometimes nicknamed ‘Little Canada’!

A mix of activities for everyone, summer and winter

In winter

Fancy a change of pace? Set off on a snowshoe hike through the silent forests, experience the adrenaline rush of biathlon, or let yourself be guided by the power of a team of sled dogs. And for something a bit different, why not give fat biking on snow a go?

In summer

In summer, La Féclaz becomes a life-size playground: forest walks and scenic hikes, mountain biking (downhill, cross-country, leisure rides), biathlon, all-terrain scooters, horse riding, mountainboarding… Here, the fresh air gives you wings.

Visiting La Féclaz? Don’t forget to head up to the Croix du Nivolet for your ‘pilgrimage’! It’s a short hike, suitable for most people, and one that’s guaranteed to offer a magnificent 360° view! On one side, the Bauges mountains; on the other, the Chambéry/Aix-les-Bains valley and Lake Bourget.

Eco-friendly tip

As well as the Synchro Montagne shuttle buses during the winter and summer seasons, carpooling areas will help you quickly find a friendly driver to share the journey with. It’s also a great opportunity to meet some lovely locals who’ll no doubt give you plenty of tips on exploring La Féclaz and the Bauges massif!
