This remarkable summit proudly overlooking the Vallon de Bellevaux has an unusual geological form on its northern side, which can be seen from the path towards the Col d'Orgeval, the Pointe de Chaurionde or the Parc à Moutons. Don't miss it!
The mountain of Pécloz is made of the same urgonian limestone as the cliffs of the Arclusaz. However, the south-eastern side of this syncline has vertical layers, which have eroded in such a way as to display the limestone layers and dig through the softer, marlstone, creating bands.
Access by hiking footpaths setting off from the Vallon de Bellevaux (towards the Cold d'Orgeval or the Aulp de Four).
From 01/05 to 30/10.
Dependent on snow conditions.
Free access.
